Google Analytics integration
Connect Google Analytics and Swoop asks your team why traffic, acquisition or conversion moved — before anyone builds a report about it.
Why a human answer beats another chart
GA4 is unusually good at telling you a channel shifted and unusually bad at telling you why. The why is almost always a human action: a campaign paused, a page shipped, a partner went quiet.
What Swoop watches
Read-only, and only what you point it at.
- Sessions and users by day
- Conversions
- Traffic by channel as segments
History arrives on connect. Google Analytics can hand over past values, so signals can appear on the first sync rather than after a wait.
Goals you can track from this
Swoop reads what Google Analytics already reports and proposes a goal with your own numbers in it — a baseline, a target you can change, and who to ask about it each week. Nothing is asked of anyone until you accept one.
What it asks, and who it asks
Questions are phrased from the change, never from a theory about the cause — a leading question gets you agreement instead of information.
The signal
Organic sessions fall for several days running
It asks
“What shipped or changed on the site recently that we should know about?”
Routed to: Marketing and whoever owns the web build
The signal
A channel's conversion rate slides while volume holds
It asks
“What are you noticing about the traffic from this channel lately?”
Routed to: Demand gen, plus sales if the leads reach them
The signal
A landing page's engagement drops after a deploy
It asks
“What did we change here, and what did you expect it to do?”
Routed to: The people who made the change
Usually answered by: Marketing, growth and web engineering. Answering is free and unlimited on every plan — you are never billed for the people who reply.
Connecting it
This one takes a little setup. A Google Cloud service account granted viewer access on the property — a few minutes in the Cloud console.
- 01GA4 property ID
Google Analytics: Admin → Property Settings. Numbers only, not the G- measurement ID.
- 02Service account key (JSON)
In Google Cloud: create a service account, add a JSON key, then add its email as a Viewer on the GA4 property. Paste the whole file here.
- 03Choose what it may watch
Every source states what it is allowed to look at. Ingesting everything available is how this becomes another dashboard nobody opens.
Credentials are stored in your own infrastructure and used read-only. Nothing is ever written back to Google Analytics, and answers are synthesized by an open-source model on Amazon Bedrock inside your own AWS account — no foundational-model vendor sees your data.
Connect Google Analytics and ask your first question
Free to start, and you only pay for panels that answer. A question nobody responds to, one that duplicates a live one, or one answered from what your people already told us costs nothing.
